STAX RECEIVES HISTORIC LATHE

L.Nix Mastering's classic Neumann   VMS 70 cutting lathe is headed to the Stax Museum! This magical lathe was used to produce nearly all of the hits from Stax back in the heyday of Memphis R&B.
 

TODD AGNEW
& REBECCA ST. JAMES

Todd Agnew's newest single, "Our Great God" (listen), which features Rebecca St. James is #22 on this weeks Christian AC chart and #12 on the Christian Inspirational chart. Kevin mastered the album, "Better Questions", last spring and it was released July 17. To date, it has sold over 30,000 copies!

       

 

RED EYE JEDI

Kevin and Red Eye Jedi recently finished the new album from Memphis' own "Tunnel Clones" featuring the track "Unbreakable" (listen) 
 

KAT MAXWELL

Kevin recently mastered the new album for Memphis artist Kat Maxwell entitled "Loves Me, Loves Me Not". In attendance was also band member/engineer Josh Rawlings. The album features the track "Run" (listen).

JUMP BACK JAKE

Producer/Engineer Pete Matthews (North Mississippi All Stars, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Saliva) brought in Memphis' own "Jump Back Jake" to be mastered recently. Their highly anticipated release, featuring "Easy Answers" will be released later this spring.
  

GUY SEBASTIAN

Guy Sebastian (winner of the TV series Australian Idol Season 1) is working in house at Ardent with Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn and Lester Snell.

LORD INFAMOUS

Larry & Kevin  recently finished mastering the highly anticipated solo release of Three Six Mafia member "Lord Infamous" entitled "The Man, The Myth, The Legacy"  released on October 23, 2007. The album features the hit single, "Where Iz Da Love" (listen)

GABBY JOHNSON

Kevin recently mastered the new Gabby Johnson album "Life". The album will include 9 new original tracks, including "Angel" (listen) and a Merle Haggard cover "Kern River".
